Description

The End of War Museum is located in Dongo inside Palazzo Manzi and collects relics, photographs, historical documents and didactic panels relating to the Partisan struggle on Lake Como.

The exhibition winds along 7 rooms on the ground floor of the historic Palazzo Manzi, in a sort of multimedia story with video projections and soundscapes, which give life to the heroes of the Resistance and the losers of the War.

There is also a path with tourist signs, dedicated to the “End of War” project. The signs are divided into four thematic paths, and narrate the events that took place between 8 September 1943, when the armistice was announced, and 28 April 1945, the day of the shooting of Mussolini and the hierarchs. The summary panel is located in Dongo, in the internal courtyard of Palazzo Manzi, starting point of the various historical itineraries.
