Sabato 22 agosto appuntamento a Barzio ai Piani di Bobbio per la Festa di Maria Regina dei Monti e delle Funivie.
Alle ore 7.30 ritrovo presso il piazzale della funivia per la processione penitenziale che sale ai Piani di Bobbio. Arrivo e celebrazione della S. Messa solenne alle ore 11.00 presso la chiesetta.
Il 4 luglio la Pro Loco di Pagnona organizza, a partire dalle ore 19.30, una serata con cena, con possibilità di asporto, a base di pollo o sinco e patatine. A seguire, dalle ore 22 divertimento con la musica dei Ritmo FFF.

The Torraccia , known also as ” La Torrazza “, is the ruin of a medieval tower that is situated in Abbadia Lariana. It is possible to see this building from the eastern shore of Lake Como or reach it walking through the Wanderer’s Trail.
The tower was part of a fortress , built in XII century more or less , of which today ramains only ruins. Its function is unknown and very difficult to interpret.
Given its isolated and not really strategic position it is unlikely that it was used as sighting place ; for this reason people think that this was intented to control the north territories of Lecco access , probably with protective and duty functions : blocking the downstream way with a masonry construction until the lake shore and the upstream way with a stockade.
It as a quadrangular building in limestone ; originally it was divided in some floors with hut coverage and it was reachable from a door of which rests are still visible from the beach.
Nowdays the tower is partially demolished and it was object of heavy interventions of restauration , in fact , only 3 walls remain from the original construction.

Hiking route from Bellano to Colico along the old mule track that runs the eastern shore of Lake Como : The Sentiero del Viandante ( Wanderer’ s Trail ). The route , that is suitable in all seasons , going through small clusters of houses , old mills, castles , churches and chapels , staying in the same time in contact with the nature.
The Sentiero del Viandante from Bellano to Colico starts from Bellano’s station. The route is focused on the rediscovery of the local villages , starting from Bellano with the visit of Santuario di Lezzeno and Cappella del Miracolo ( chapel ). Continuing , we reach the peninsula of Dervio, where the roadmap cross the ancient bridge over the Varrone River and go up to the medieval Tower of Orezia’s Castle and S. Leonardo Church. The route goes on reaching Corenno Plinio the One Thousand Steps Village, with his hamlet and the Tommaso di Canterbury Church. The walk proceed following the ascent until a panoramic point where we can find the San Rocco Church , in Dorio. Following the path we can admire the lake and the Piona Abbey ; we finally reach a road that go down with rapid hairpins until Posallo di Colico. We arrived in the city centre and then in the station , where we can take a traing to go back to Bellano.

Hiking route from Abbadia to Lierna along the old mule track that runs the eastern shore of Lake Como : The Sentiero del Viandante ( Wanderer’ s Trail ). The route , that is suitable in all seasons , going through small clusters of houses , old mills, castles , churches and chapels , staying in the same time in contact with the nature.
The hiking from Abbadia to Lierna starts from the station and take place going through terraces cultivated with vineyards and olive trees overlooking Grignetta , among the medievals villages of Abbadia e Mandello , where we can find historic and religious buildings as the San Bartolomeo Church , the St. Giorgio Church and the Tower of Barbarossa in Maggiana. Once at Rongio , we go down along the left side of Val Meria where we can admire Sasso Cavallo and Sasso dei Carbonai‘s walls. Crossing a characteristic natural bridge we walking through the watercourse and we reach the opposit side to reach Somana. We continuing on to Olcio , that we only see from the top: the settlement is connecting to Viandante by a steep stairs that have almost 800 steps. Finally , the road goes to Lierna, we proceed to the station and we go back by train to the starting point.

The Sentiero del Viandante from Lierna to Bellano starts from Lierna’s station. To bengin the route is possible going down towards the lake , along Via Ducale, or going to hike in the mountains.
In the first case , we continue to Rivabianca Castle in Lierna and Fiumelatte , following the lake , and from this point we going to Varenna and then Bellano , walking through Perledo , Biosio and Bozeno.
Alternatively , we walk along the 900 mt of climb that lead to Ortanella: the path go up steed in the wood to a panoramic point that overlooking the lake ; from here the slope gets sweeter and the route goes to Alpe Mezzedo and San Pietro Plans. We go down towards Varenna walking through Perledo and Vezio Castle and we finally arrived to Bellano; we proceed to the station where we can take the train to go back to the starting point.

Si è tenuta ieri sera 26 giugno, presso la sala consiliare del Comune di Crandola, che è capofila del progetto, la presentazione dell’iniziativa ” Eventi Estate 2018 in Alta Valsassina “.
Dopo le positive esperienze del 2017, i Comuni di Crandola, Margno e Taceno hanno voluto continuare la fruttosa collaborazione anche per questa stagione estiva, con l’obiettivo di migliorare ed integrare l’offerta turistica del territorio e mettere a sistema le manifestazioni estive. L’incarico di organizzazione e coordinamento è stato affidato alla nostra rete di imprese Montagne del Lago di Como, che ha anche realizzato il pighevole con gli eventi.
Nell’ambito del progetto saranno finanziate e organizzate dai comuni 12 manifestazioni, dalle serate di cinema all’aperto, alle iniziative per le famiglie, alla musica e alla cultura. Gli eventi sono stati programmati in giorni infra settimanali e in periodi di minor concentrazione di manifestazioni, in modo da arricchire, riempire e allungare la stagione estiva e rendere più piacevole il soggiorno prolungato in Alta Valsassina.
A completare il progetto, nell’ottica di fornire un servizio utile alle famiglie, è stato organizzato il Doposcuola, sia a Taceno che a Margno, durante il quale i bambini delle elementari sono assisiti nello svolgimento dei compiti delle vacanze. Anche questo servizio è stato finanziato dai 3 comuni ed è organizzato da MLC.
Infine si è ricordata la partecipazione congiunta di Crandola, Margno e Taceno al Bando Living Land per l’estate 2018, che vedrà impegnati 6 giovani in interventi di riqualificazione e manutenzione di aree pubbliche del territorio comunale.
Alla conferenza stampa di presentazione sono intervenuti il Sindaco di Crandola Matteo Manzoni, con Giulio Giumelli e Antonio Pasquini, per il Comune di Margno Luca Tagliaferri e per Taceno Francesca Denti, i consiglieri che hanno partecipato al tavolo di lavoro del progetto. Presenti anche Stefano Gianola, Presidente di Montagne del Lago di Como e Silvia Strada, che segue il progetto.
